Kraft der Grenzen
... From the multiplicity of the lines, borders, which run through the body surfaces and spaces, a level divided into smallest units, which absorbs all others. The front and the back, the top and the bottom are relieved of their ancestral duties. The volumes are dissolved into planes. The sizes as well. And the painter works into this single level with its innumerable units.
Each segment receives special attention, becomes a painted unicum, grows through colour and structure into a valley, a plateau, becomes a building block of significance, which then plays its role at the end of a long process of creation and holds the whole picture together from its place. If the term hadn't been so denigrated long ago, I'd be talking about body worlds here. (S. Skowron)
