By playfully twisting and converting these clichés, he succeeds in creating images that captivate the viewer, tell him stories and give him space for his own interpretations and fantasies that seem lively and real, even though they have nothing in common with photorealism. He uses the CAP technique (computer aided painting) developed by him. His own photographs, digitally processed in a variety of ways and brought into a completely different context, are printed out in a multitude of individual sheets, put together again and serve as a painting base. Using acrylic, oil and collage techniques, completely new focal points are set, small details are emphasized, once essential elements are reduced.
